About Shrirang Shikshan Mahavidyalaya, Bilimora

History : Shrirang shikshan mahavidyalay, Bilimora (B.Ed. College) was established in 1968 at Billimora by Bilimora Vibhag Kelavani Mandal. Earlier P.T.C. College, which was running in 1968, was closed by the Government and at that time, Shrirang Avadhut Maharaj was staying in Avadhut Vadi at Bilimora. Shrirang Avadhut Maharaj inspired and gave  direction to the intense desire of the distinguished people of Bilimora who were interested in education and training college. Therefore, this college was named as "Shrirang Shikshan Mahavidyalay". Thenafter ,the blessings of saint Muktanand  baba from Ganeshpuri, Maharashtra was bestowed upon the college. In the beginning, the infrastructure of the college was built up by the efforts of the principal, faculty members, students, parents and the trustees of the college. Then, the central government upgraded the college and gave the grant of Rs. 42,00,000 from which the C.T.E. centre, Academic Wing, Hostel and Staff Quarters were built up . This institute which has spread its fragrance in the whole Gujarat and  has given more than 5000 committed and skillful  teachers and talented principals to many schools and many expert administrators to the education department. The distinguished tradition of the college to develop the moralistic world of the trainees by the various creative, competitive and developmental activities started from the very beginning of the college is still remained healthy and impressive. The institute has been shining with various seminars and workshops . The principal, teachers and students of the surrounded institutes of the college get inspired , guided and nurtured by the vi bration of such activities. This institute has kept the strong , live and fragrant connection with the society. Goals :-  *  To provide service to the student community of Gujarat in general and south Gujarat in particular by making it an educational hub in this region, which can play its role in the development of the nation. *  To cultivate dedication to the education by innovative practices. * To focus on the development of not only the teaching aspects but on the individual as a whole, keeping in view the whole personality aspect of the student through making innovations, creating better learning environment, value based variety of co-curricular activities. *  To prepare competent prospective teachers who can be good in their specialization as well as can be proficient enough to cope up with the modern education to serve the needs of the society and the student.  Intake Capacity :- 100% admission is given on merit by B.Ed. centralized admission committee of the Indian Institute of Teacher Education, A State Public University established by Govt. of Gujarat, Gandhinagar. The eligibility criteria for admission are according to NCTE rules. our college Intake par year 50 student + 5 EWS according to Gujarat Government. Medium of Instruction Goals :- The medium of instruction is Gujarati in the college but it gives provision to the student to write in the examination either in Gujarati, Hindi or English.
